This work is the result…

Typescript probably used for the press release of the solo exhibition at “Galleria Milano”, Milan, 1976.

This work is the result of a research that has as its object the thickness of the gaze. This thickness is understood as a perceptual phenomenon and as a history of attention. The painted canvas becomes transparent and having no perimeter other than its own takes on the quality of a portion of a filter. Although the works deliberately shy away from founding an image, the filter becomes a foil (from the phenomenon of foils by the interference of light). Even the monochrome color picks up the datum of “diffusion” and “scattering” of the light ray. The figures are acceptances of visual archetypes. The materials used: canvas (sackcloth), rope, wire and blues, epoxy resins, tempera, pigments, and paper.
